Tanzania Youth Coalition works for young Tanzanians aged 15 - 35
Their work spans five core reas: youth employment and living conditions, environmental and welfare issues, youth health and gender equality, youth leadership and local democracy.
ABOUT
AgriInnovate Tanzania 2026 helps young people in the Ilemela-Mwanza region move beyond training and into practice, by launching 3–4 real, youth-run agricultural cooperatives with hands-on mentoring and a small start-up budget. Building on lessons from the 2025 edition, the project focuses on testing real business models – from laying hens to leafy vegetables so participants gain genuine market experience, not just classroom knowledge. It is co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation programme (Polish Aid) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
One simple question WHY?
In Tanzania, roughly 75% of young people can’t find a real foothold in the job market. Agriculture has fed this country’s economy for generations – yet fewer and fewer young people want anything to do with it. Not because they don’t want to work. Because no one has shown them it can work for them.
