SUPPORTING CHILDREN IN KANO, NIGERIA

Since 2023 we work with Serendipity Healthcare Foundation in Kano, Nigeria to support illiterate children financing them scholarships for the 6 years education.

Serendipity Healthcare Foundation is a CAC registered not for profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2003 but established in 2009 as a direct social response to the healthcare issues in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. SHF is based in Kano but with appendices in Abuja and Niger States of Nigeria.

Since 2003, Serendipity’s programs though on low scales have reached 1,050,000 (One Million and fifty thousand) women and children in rural communities of Kano, Jigawa and Katsina state.

Working in partnership with indigenous organizations and through grants, SHF has embarked upon small scale, community driven projects that:

  1. are long term, sustainable development initiatives 
  2. use low-cost, locally appropriate technologies 
  3. integrate water supply, sanitation and hygiene education activities also intertwined home management of malaria, Insecticide Treated nets supply and sanitation as a way of reducing malaria, safe birthing process and technologies 
  4. wealth creation
  5. emphasize community ownership of planning and management 
  6. emphasize self-help and community participation 
  7. benefit and involve women and youths
